Welcome to London Care:
Your life, your choice, your support
Loughton-based chartered accountants Haslers have lent their support to an epic feat of endurance by one of their clients.
Matthew Loddy, 46, the managing director of Framework/Independent Scaffolding finished his 100th marathon in 100 days by completing the London Marathon.
Matthew, who had never before run 26.2 miles before starting the charity feat, set off from the Algarve in Portugal in January as part of a promise he made to a dying friend to help cancer charities.

Supported by his 84 year-old father Tom, Matthew has run alone through rugged hillsides, coastal roads, and country lanes back to England via Spain.
His 2,620 mile adventure has so far raised £80,000 of a target of £100,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust and St Francis Hospice in Berkhamsted, where his friend Phil Latham was cared for before he died aged 36 from stomach cancer in 2010.
Matthew’s marathon challenge has been featured in the national and international press including The Times, the Daily Mail, Sky News, ITV and the Huffington Post.

As a client of Haslers, the firm was keen to support Matthew, so on April 15th, Hasler’s own marathon man, partner Lawrence Shafier, joined Matthew for his 93rd marathon.
Hasler’s tax partner Jon O’Shea also joined Matthew on the Friday before the London Marathon for part of his 98th marathon.
Michael Watts, partner at Hasler said: “Haslers and the Haslers Foundation were pleased to support Matthew in his massive challenge.
