Haslers to host Solicitors Seminar on 2 November 2017

Our expert team will be hosting a helpful Solicitors Seminar on Thursday 2 November 2017, at the Hilton Hotel, Canary Wharf, London – so save the date!

The event – which will run from 5pm onwards – will feature speeches and presentations from Haslers, accompanied by a number of other guest speakers who will be confirmed at a later date.

The seminar is open to all, but guests are invited to make a £25 donation to our charity, the Haslers Foundation, which supports a range of local and national good causes.

Law Society to reduce cost of solicitors’ practising certificate fees

The Law Society has announced that it will reduce the overall cost of its solicitors practising certificate fees to £278, according to reports.

Solicitors urged to provide greater cost transparency to ‘vulnerable’ consumers

New research carried out by the Legal Services Board (LSB) suggests that the majority of ‘vulnerable’ legal services consumers who have mental health conditions such as dementia would benefit from greater cost transparency.




Expansion of fixed costs regime for legal claims to be “significantly” scaled back

Plans to apply fixed costs for all legal claims up to the value of £250,000 have been “significantly” scaled back, the Law Society has reported.
