Corporate Social Responsibility

At Haslers we take Corporate Social Responsibility very seriously.

To help achieve our business goals and objectives we understand the necessity to try and support whenever and wherever possible our local community and charitable organisations. We also seek to minimise our impact on the environment and to ensure our personnel´s health, safety and well being.

All four areas combined form our Corporate Social Responsibility pledge which, as a firm, we embrace to ensure the positive impact we have on society and the environment outweigh the negative. This approach has also enabled us to develop a culture within the firm which not only seeks to identify and raise awareness of important ethical issues but also endeavors to change them for the better.

It is our opinion that corporate social responsibility is something all businesses should embrace and be a part of, no matter what their size. Being socially responsible and self-aware of the impact that both you and your business have on your surroundings is an important step to make before you can begin to work towards a sustainable future.

We therefore do all in our power to inspire our people to positively contribute to one or more of our pledges which we hope will, in turn, result in a brighter future for everyone.

 

HASLERS FOUNDATION

The Haslers Foundation Committee was formed in June 2008 with the aim of improving Haslers presence and involvement in the local community and to further enhance our Corporate Social Responsibility pledge. We already undertake a number of activities to minimising our impact on the environment and the Foundation hopes to complement that by supporting local charities and events, rather than large national ones which already receive huge amounts of funding.

Our intention is to cover a range of charitable areas in the hope that Haslers staff will become involved and give up some of their time to help support them.

In the short time that the Haslers Foundation has been formed, we have already helped to support a local under 11's football team, a children's charity, an event to raise money for a children's hospice, and an anti-bullying campaign.
