Charities across the South East of England have benefited from donations from the Haslers Foundation – the in-house charity of Haslers Chartered Accountants.

One of the many local organisations to get a slice of the fundraising funds was the YES (Youth Employment Strategy) Partnership based in Chigwell.

It received £1,100 to help fund a workshop set up for secondary school pupils from the Foundation.

The YES Partnership works with students who are in Years 9 and 10 to help them with the difficult decisions that affect their future.

A spokesperson for the YES Partnership said: “We achieve this by treating the students as conference delegates throughout the day in a stimulating environment.

“The conferences are run by volunteers drawn from different walks of life and we are funded entirely by donations and grants from local businesses and organisations.

“We would like to thank the Haslers Foundation for their support in helping us to continue our work without their help and others we would not be able to offer this important help to students.”

Another of the charities to benefit from the Haslers Foundation’s donations is the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain. It received £700 of funding for a local school anti-bullying workshop called the ‘Barney & Echo’ project.

Funding has also been given to fund a sensory room for a young boy named Dylan, who has Syndrome Without A Name (SWAN). The £995 donated paid for an interactive musical hopscotch pad for Dylan. He is suffering from a life limiting yet undiagnosed condition.

Jon O’Shea, Chairman at Haslers Chartered Accountants, said: “Since we first started the Foundation dozens of local causes and organisations near to our offices in Loughton have benefited from the fundraising that we undertake.

“We are really proud of these recent donations and would like to thank everyone that has helped the Foundation to raise the thousands of pounds each year that makes this kind of support possible. We have a number of events planned for 2019 and so we hope we can continue to donate more to good causes.”
