The ESFA is providing a range of guidance and workbooks to help schools get ahead of the budget forecast return obligations.

The agency has added two Excel workbooks to the academies budget forecast return GOV.UK page. Which are aimed at helping users prepare for the online budget forms that are required later in the year.

The workbook options include a single page format and a new multi-page format that mirrors the layout of the BFR form.

Both versions have the same validations and questions; these are identical to the BFR online form.

The BFR will go live on 21 June 2022 and will have a deadline for submission of 26 July 2022.

BFR returns must reflect any academies transferring in or out of your trust, with the level of required information dependent upon the month of transfer.

The team at Haslers are here to support you with your BFR documentation so for help and practice support, please get in touch with us.
