Haslers to host webinar on Corporation Tax increase, find out what you need to know!
In his budget last year, Rishi Sunak announced the first increase in the main rate of Corporation Tax since 1974 under Dennis Healey. This increase in the corporation tax rate from 19 to 25 per cent will come into effect from 1 April 2023.
This increase is not unexpected given the unprecedented levels of government spending on various support measures in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Understandably businesses are concerned that increasing the CT rate while the pandemic continues to cause economic disruption will hamper recovery and the news that a rise will not take effect until April 2023 is welcomed.
The increase is projected to bring in additional revenues of £11.9 billion in 2023-24, rising to £17.2 billion in 2025-26.
Leading chartered accountancy firm Haslers, based in Loughton, will be holding their first in a series of webinars in 2022 to cover the key points of the rise.
The informative webinar (Corporation Tax to increase to 25%) will take place on Wednesday 23 February 2022 – 11:00 am – 12:00 noon, hosted by Haslers Chairman, Jon O’Shea and Senior Tax Partner, Paul Reynolds. It will set out what businesses need to know and the options available in advance of the increase.
