Volunteers and service users at four charities in Essex and London have thanked the in-house charity of Haslers Chartered Accountants for donating nearly £3,000 to their causes.
The Haslers Foundation, the charitable group set up by the Loughton firm, has made donations to Changing Faces, the Mobility Trust, Care Free Kids and ECHO as part of its ongoing charity campaign across the region.
Changing Faces was given £500 by the Foundation to support the Young Face Equality Champions project, which earlier this year launched 12 months of campaigning and actions specifically aimed at helping children and young people with visible differences.
Meanwhile, the Mobility Trust will use its £887 donation from Haslers to cover the outstanding amount it needs to purchase a mobility scooter for one of its users.
Children’s mental health charity, Carefree Kids, paid for branded kit bags using its £850 gift from the Foundation, while ECHO will use the £552 given to it to pay for four specialist antenatal classes for parents whose unborn child has been diagnosed with a heart condition.
Jon O’Shea, Chairman at Haslers Chartered Accountants, said: “It has been fantastic donating to these causes, each with their own unique ambitions and goals. We hope our fundraising will help in the weeks and months to come as they continue their fantastic work.
“We are very proud of our collaborations with community groups and organisations and hope that we can continue to assist local charities in the future.”
To date, Haslers Foundation has made more than £150,000 of donations to charities in and around Essex.
It is currently in the process of conducting its 10,000-mile challenge, with the aim of raising £1 for every mile its team cover in a variety of events, including running relays, triathlons and the 31 consecutive half marathons that Jon O’Shea hopes to complete in August.
“We are really hopeful that the local community will get behind us this year as we take on this monumental challenge so that we can raise thousands more for good causes,” added Jon.
