Jon O’Shea

Jon O’SheaChairman and Tax Partner

Jon trained at BDO Stoy Hayward in London until March 1990, when he joined Haslers, becoming a tax partner in April 1997 and Chairman in January 2017. 

He heads up Haslers’ tax investigations unit and has dealt with many Specialist Investigations, including those carried out under caution.

He also lectures regularly on current tax-related topics, as well as representing clients at Tax Tribunal hearings covering different areas of taxation.

With Brexit likely to have a significant impact on the UK tax regime he is poised to advise businesses and individuals on the next important steps they should take.

Debra is head of UK VAT Advice, Haslers in-house VAT consultancy, through which she provides high-level VAT advice on a wide range of complex issues to a variety of businesses.

The UK is currently governed by the EU VAT Directive, but Brexit may soon change the current regime and with an uncertain future ahead Debra is ready to offer clients advice.

She has built up an extensive technical knowledge over more than 30 years’ specialising in VAT and takes a practical approach.

A very experienced VAT lecturer, Debra regularly delivers seminars to clients, business groups and other professionals and also supports other accountancy and law firms with their high level VAT requirements.
