Property investment presentation proves popular for Haslers
Over 70 future and existing landlords and property investors have taken part in a talk on buy-to-let and property investment in Chigwell launched in partnership with Haslers Chartered Accountants and solicitors, Attwaters Jameson Hill.
The event at Woolston Manor offered landlords and property investors a chance to learn more about the financial and legal issues that go into creating a successful portfolio.
Paul Reynolds, Senior Tax Partner at Haslers, shared his knowledge of the latest tax rules and changes for landlords, including the recent updates to Capital Gains Tax and Stamp Duty Land Tax.
Meanwhile, Associate Solicitor Prabhi Ghura looked into the challenges of landlord and tenant disputes, offering practical advice to those in attendance.
Speaking after the seminar, Paul said: “There have been some fairly big changes in the world of property investment and buy-to-let, so it was great to be able to meet with so many existing and prospective landlords to share some knowledge and offer some support to them.”
Paul also covered the introduction of the Making Tax Digital rules and the impact that this new tax compliance requirement could have on landlords and their businesses.
Guests also got their chance to ask questions and grilled the presenters on a wide range of issues they faced, receiving pragmatic and helpful advice from both Attwaters Jameson Hill and Haslers.
