Rugby team Eton Manor Women gains support of Haslers
Eton Manor Women’s rugby team have gained a new sponsor in the form of leading Loughton accountants, Haslers.
As part of the firm’s commitment to the local community, sports and women’s rugby, it will be sponsoring the team’s training hoodies.
Eton Manor Women is an amateur rugby team based at Eton Manor in East London, which was set up to encourage new players of all skill levels to join the sport.
With many players who have formerly played for Essex, they are excited to be entering the NC2 league in the forthcoming season and are thankful for Haslers support.
Jackie Clune, Eton Manor Women’s Manager, said: “We are thrilled to get the backing of Haslers for our hoodies. The women are committed to playing hard and partying just as hard – the strength they get from each other has formed great bonds on and off the pitch, with women from 18-52 all playing together.
“Having a strong team identity is so important for the recruitment and retention of players, and with Hasler’s help Eton Manor Women are well on the way to storming into their new league, looking and feeling part of an awesome squad.”
The club offers a lovely support network and a real sense of the ‘rugby family’ to help more women get into the game.
It was this community-led approach that attracted Haslers to the team and led to its offer to sponsor part of their training kit.
Jon O’Shea, Chairman of Haslers, said: “We are excited to be supporting Eton Manor Women this year. They are so passionate about the sport and getting more women into the game that we are glad to play a part in their success as a club.
“I hope their new hoodies will help keep them warm throughout the year, as they take on their rivals and enjoy the game.”
