The Haslers Foundation has made a donation to the Epping Forest Heritage Trust (efht.org.uk) to fund four sessions of the Trust’s ‘Happy Loppers’ initiative, a hands-on conservation programme that helps maintain and protect Epping Forest while promoting wellbeing and community engagement.
The Happy Loppers sessions bring together volunteers of all abilities to take part in practical woodland management, such as clearing scrub, maintaining pathways, and improving biodiversity across different parts of the Forest. The programme also provides an opportunity for participants to enjoy the outdoors, build confidence, and connect with nature through meaningful activity.
The Haslers Foundation supports a range of local charities and community initiatives across Essex and North East London.
Peter Lewis, Chief Executive of the Epping Forest Heritage Trust, said:
