Michael is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Tax Advisers and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales Corporate Finance.
Michael Watts is the Corporate Finance Partner at Haslers and has led the firm's Corporate Finance team since 2009.
Michael advises business owners and shareholders on some of the most important decisions they will make during the life of their business. His work covers business sales and acquisitions, valuations, due diligence and fundraising, together with more complex matters including shareholder disputes, investigations and expert witness assignments.
With a strong commercial focus, Michael works closely with clients to understand what they want to achieve and then helps them identify and execute the right strategy, whether that means selling a business, making an acquisition, raising finance, resolving a shareholder issue or planning for succession.
Michael is a qualified accountant, chartered tax advisor and also holds the ICAEW Corporate Finance qualification. He has also held the position of chair of the UK200 Corporate Finance Panel.
When he's not advising clients, Michael is a keen cyclist and can often be found exploring the roads of Essex and beyond.
